Stefanie Jahn is a collage artist. Her trademarks are geometrical elements and the usage of primary colours.
She stole an Andy Warhol book out of a library and discovered art when she was thirteen. Later on, she went to the Technical College in Design and studied Social Education. Art has always been around, when she was working with school kids on art projects, as well as when she was writing, reviewing art shows for internationally acclaimed art blog Arte Fuse.
When words failed, art would help her to express her feelings. Art has been her therapy. She deeply believes in the healing powers of art and that, as a form of self-expression, art can uplift and liberate us all.
She wholeheartedly embraces the DIY-ethos and spirit of punk. Her work is drenched in pop culture references, loaded with irony and inspired by the human experience.
Her artworks have been shown at Art Spring Berlin, Studio Baustelle's up and coming Silent Art Auction in Berlin and the International Jazz Dance Open in Pardubice, Czech Republic.
